Swedish economist and author (born 1952)
Klas Eklund (born 16 July 1952)[1] is a Swedish economist and author.
Early life and education
Eklund was born in Kvarngärdet, Uppsala as the son of the actor couple Bengt Eklund (1925-1998) and Fylgia Zadig (1921-1994).
He went to high school in Stockholm, but also spent his senior year at Wausau Senior High[clarification needed] in Wisconsin, USA.[citation needed] He completed a BA degree in economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, where he later completed a Licentiate degree.[1] He also has a degree in economic history and Russian from the University of Stockholm.
Career
Since January 2018, Klas Eklund is the Senior Economist of the law firm Mannheimer Swartling. From 1982 until 1990, Eklund was employed in the Swedish Ministry of Finance,[1] where he finally held the position of deputy under-secretary of state, and in the Prime Minister's Office, wh
