Matthew Walker III, gifted biomedical design professor and mentor, has died

Matthew Walker III, who developed and taught Vanderbilt University’s innovative biomedical engineering design curriculum, died unexpectedly on April 24.

He was 56 years old.

Walker joined the faculty in 2011 and held dual appointments as professor of the practice of biomedical engineering in the School of Engineering and professor of radiology and radiological sciences in the School of Medicine.
