Nkiru was born on July 29 in Anambra State, though year of her birth is not known.

Nkiru Umeh hails from Uga community in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra state in south eastern Nigeria.

Nkiru had her primary and secondary education in her community, Aguata, Anambra state, where she obtained her first and secondary school certificates respectively.

She went further to have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration at the University of Lagos.
