After beginning the season with a role debut as Daland in Wagner’s DerfliegendeHolländer at the Norwegian National Opera and which is set for later release by Decca Classics, his many highlights include Claggart BillyBudd at the Wiener Staatsoper; Wurm LuisaMiller at Staatsoper Hamburg; Cadmus & Somnus in a new production of Semele at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and at the Royal Ballet & Opera; Baron Ochs DerRosenkavalier at the Bayerische Staatsoper; and Gurnemanz Parsifal at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl.

Last season Sherratt was heard as Rocco Fidelio at the Bayerische Staatsoper; Zebul in Oliver Mears’ new production of Jephtha at Royal Ballet & Opera; and Sarastro Die Zauberflöte at the Metropolitan Opera. He performed Act 1 of Die Walküre at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma conducted by Omer Meir Wellber; Mussorgsky Songs and Dances of Death with the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España in Madrid; and a rec
